We had a wonderful stay with my son's family at the hotel. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore downtown Oakland and even San Francisco via BART. The friendly staff and spacious rooms helped make our vacation comfortable and enjoyable.
My kids wished the pool had more hours available for hotel guests. It would be great to have longer access to fun family swimming times.

missingWrote a review on May 25comfortable bedswide poolpoor breakfastrude staffparking issue
I recently stayed at the Renaissance Walnut Creek Hotel for three nights. The room felt spacious, and the mattress was really comfy, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Housekeeping did not come, which was frustrating since I requested daily service. I had to call for clean towels, which arrived late. The front desk staff were not very helpful during this issue, which added to my disappointment. Breakfast at the restaurant had poor options. Although I liked the location, it was hard to find parking. Valet service was my only option, and it worked well, but the high fee felt unnecessary. The pool area was nice, but I wish it had more casual swimming space instead of being sectioned off. It could use some updates, but the friendly staff and spacious rooms made it a decent stay despite the drawbacks.

The King or Double Room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfy, which made it nice to relax after a busy day. The only downside was the annoying HVAC noise at night. it really sounded like a prop plane. But overall, the room was still nice to stay in.

I was really impressed by the gym facilities. It has everything you need, tons of classes, and we even used the daycare service for the kids. My wife and I managed to squeeze in a good workout while they were taken care of. The staff were really friendly too.
It wasn’t cheap but it was still acceptable. Just be prepared for that.
